Who is the "Ambitious Misfit"?
Collette Lash is the Ambitious Misfit, and that's me. The wily blonde pictured to the left. I really don't know what to say about myself. I love my job, photographing a moment that is there and gone in a heartbeat. I love it, but I also believe you've got to just enjoy those moments, sans the camera. I shot my first pinups in 1999 and began shooting full time as of 2007. This *really* is my job and I feel very blessed for that.
Where is Ambitious Misfit located?
The Ambitious Misfit home studio is located at 23514 Via Galera in Sunny Valencia Ca . However throughout the year I travel to different towns to offer the misfit treatment to all. I have become a frequent traveler to Nashville (TN), Las Vegas (NV), Logandale (NV), and Phoenix (AZ). If you would like me to visit your town, please send a message!
How far out do I need to book? How do I book?
Usually about 2 weeks to a month, however schedules flex throughout the year and the sooner you can pick your date the better. Send an email to contact@ambitiousmisfit.com or call 661-755-4332 to set your appointment!
Do I need to bring anything?
For Pinups:
Not necessarily but it's recommend that you bring a few "back up" items like blue jeans, black heels and black undies. If you have something of your own you want to wear in your session of course bring it along.
For Kids:
Yes, I do not stock a kids wardrobe but I do have many props and hats, fun things for them to play with. If your child is really into a pair of rain boots or a silly hat BRING IT! It might drive you crazy, but it really is "who they are" at that age and is something you will want to remember. Ideas for kids clothing: blue jeans and plain shirts always work for boys or girls. Stripes, plaids, anything "vintage" inspired, or "fancy dinner" clothes if you prefer more formal.
Will your wardrobe fit me?
Wardrobe is provided for pinups, and there is a wide range of sizes for petite to plus-sized bombshells.
Are you going to put my photos on the Internet?
All photos are private until you give the word. You'll see many of the same faces in the demo galleries because those clients have given their permissions for public use.
Can you get rid of my scars, stretch marks, bruises, bad tattoos etc?
Absolutely, and at no additional cost. Retouching images is part of the package.
