Misfit "Blaugh"

Hot Rides and Classy Ladies

Just a quick entry to share with you a local event in my hometown that I look forward to when I get back into town. Every 3rd wednesday of each month, the Flight By Knights Car Club host an "All Welcome" Car and Bike show in Newhall, Calif. This August we tried out doing a Classy Pinup Contest, I was nervous as hell, but it cranked along as is expected with any premiere. We hope to have it down to a smooth operation in October for a Halloween themed Classy Pinup Contest.

Now until Dec 31st, make any order over $25 from the Lyons Cruise OR Misfit Cars Albums and receive 20% off. Cover those ugly walls with some misfit art!

Gary Bennett and the Singin' Bugs

Must have done something good to deserve this truly awesome treat. I cannot express honor and excitement of getting to do these photos. I have been clappin' hands and dancin' to the music of swell dude for many, many years. I'm not sure what could be more fantastic then a beautiful sunny day in Nashville, at the park with the handsome and talented Gary Bennett makin' music accompanied by the magic of the great southern brood (cicadas).

I really have few words for how wonderful experience it was. Really,...just a great, big goofy smile on my face. Thank you very, very much, Gary! Check out Gary's Website here:

Did you tune in?

On Valentine's day, Collette the Misfit was a special guest on the no-nonsense radio show The Parent Experiment. Collette was there to talk about Pinups as a fun way to spice up your relationship and boost your confidence.

Hosts Lynette Carolla and Susanna Brisk, and their other special guest, the first Lady of Love, Susan Pinksy discussing the Misfit Pinup Style can be heard here:

Good Golly Misfit Molly!

I had the great pleasure of working with the beautiful Molly Ringwald AGAIN! (I guess lightning can strike twice.) With a new style in mind, we created a whole new palette for misfit photos. She was sweet enough to let me share a few with you.

See for yourself why I can't find the words by checking our her album on our Facebook Page, or by clicking on her pic here!

Misfits-a-Rambling

I plan bringing Misfit Photography to more cities this year. It's only March and I've already hit up Las Vegas, Logandale (NV), and Nashville. I'm hoping to hit Phoenix, St. Louis, Seattle and Albuquerque this spring/summer. So if you are in one of those fine areas, rally your army and let's get to it! If you are not in those areas, but would love misfit photos, send a message and we'll see what can be done to get your region on the schedule.

He's the Deadliest Warrior. But this time, I did the shooting.

Three-time World Champion Gunslinger and actor, Joey Dillion is now a Misfit! (Like he wasn't already.) This is easily one of the coolest people I have ever had the honor to photograph. I had first seen Joey on Spike TV's "Deadliest Warrior" showcasing the incredible shooting speed and accuracy that the Jesse James Gang dominated the old west with. I caught his live "One Man Cowboy Stage Show' at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles shortly after. Joey Dillion has talent in Spaces, and I have no doubt he'll be a household name in no time.

He had a location picked out and we went hoofin' down a closed road in the desert. I t was a fantastic photo session to say the least. I got my very own gun spinning show as I clicked away. I have a handful of two of edited images of the very talented Joey Dillion for your viewing on the Ambitious Misfit Facebook Page!

YOu absolutely must catch one of Dillion's live shows! Bring the whole family, and don't forget the camera! To see where he will be next you can visit the Joey Dillion Website, and bookmark it while you are there because you know you'll be back!

I love, I love, I love my (MISFIT) Calendar Girl!

Kick off the New Year with the 2011 Ambitious Misfit Pinup Calendar!!! These 12 beautiful pinup girls are sure to put a smile on your face each and every day of the year!

Once a year AM Pinup girls have a chance to be in the calendar through an online contest. A panel of artists selects the girls from the contest for the calendar except for one lucky spot, the fan favorite, which is open to public voting. With so many beautiful ladies in this years contest, all of my judges reported that it was incredibly difficult.

Action-Packed July! Read All About it!

It's been a tornado of mischief month after month! July was a real treat beginning with pinup and family sessions on the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. With such wonderful clients and dreamlike backdrop of heavenly beaches, this trip was truly a wonderful gift.

Back for only a week before heading out to Nashville, Tennessee, I was working day and night. I put the final touches on pieces and couldn't resist creating a couple more for a grand total of 33 awesome misfit pieces of art for my first solo art show called "Fast Cars & Frisky Women." Photographic images ranging from the always popular pinups to lonesome desert hotrods were selected from the misfit arsenal. The images were mounted to repurposed/recycled boards that were painted in old sign styles with remnant paints.

The art opening was at Nashville's Kustom Thrills Tattoo's art gallery called Octane. Car/bike show, bands, food, and a freak show to boot, it was obviously a good time. We were all very excited to see the History Channels very own "American Pickers" Mike Wolf show up. What can I say? The man has good taste.

July was very busy for sure. I also booked a misfit record number of client's in Nashville, I am so touched and honored that you like my work. It's hard to say no to such wonderful people in such a wonderful town. I leave more of my heart there every time. I really can't explain how much I truly enjoy being there and spending time with all you 'Nashvegas' folks. So much love for Nashville, I can't wait to see you again!

Yes, It REALLY is Molly Ringwald!

Last fall, I was one very lucky and happy misfit. I got a phone call from The Brat Pack's Molly Ringwald, from movies like Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club. She had seen my work and was interested in doing some misfit pinups of her own! It was a great honor to welcome Molly into the world of MISFIT. She is as radiant as she was in those ever popular John Hughes movies. Tomorrow, April 27th Molly's book "Getting the Pretty Back" hits the shelves. In addition she is doing a book tour, check out the schedule and go see one of the latest and greatest Misfits! To purchase her book online visit on Amazon.com!
